Therapist Marketing is run by Gary Oke. Gary is a full time hypnotherapist with
centres in Manchester, Glossop and Sheffield. He also teaches hypnotherapy
at British Ethical School of Therapies.
Before training as a hypnotherapist, Gary enjoyed a successful career in sales
and marketing. The later years were spent as Sales and Marketing Director of
a retail company and Sales and Marketing Manager of a company in the
gaming industry. Prior to this, Gary spent his career in Business to Business
sales and marketing. His clients included household names such as Coca-Cola,
McVities, Cadbury, Nestle, Trebor Basset, Bass Brewers, Castrol, Barclays
Bank, Yellow Pages, C&A, Makro and De Vere Hotels.
Gary developed retail and wholesale advertising, point of sale concepts and
signage for these companies, always selling in an advisory capacity and
never stooping to sell on price.
Gary has also been responsible for managing, training and motivating
telesales and field sales staff. Due to the senior positions held, he has also
worked on several business development programmes with management
consultants and training companies.
When Gary first started as a hypnotherapist, although he had a wealth of sales
and marketing experience, he found many forms of advertising that had worked
well in previous industries were a waste of money as a complementary
therapist. Although a lot of the content of the courses at Therapist Marketing
comes from years of sales and marketing experience, much of it also comes
from the early days of Oke Hypnotherapy and the expensive trial and error
exercises Gary undertook. Through these courses, you now have the
opportunity to learn from this experience without wasting thousands of pounds
on ineffective marketing and advertising.
